“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Norman MacEwan
There are many ways to give back and while some prefer the simplicity of a cash donation many charities need more than that. They need volunteers to keep their overhead down so that those cash donations can be put to better use than administrative costs.
Perhaps you have time to volunteer or perhaps you can make a donation of some food to the local food Bank or better yet co-ordinate a group effort in support of a local charity. Here in Uxbridge we have many such groups, both formal and informal.

On a more personal note I’m a proud supporter and member of 100 Women Who Care here in Uxbridge, I work with refugees through my connections as former board chair of Matthew House In Toronto and support a variety of other charities both personally and as part of my giving back program.
